Apply to Join Our Zanzibar Expidition

We’re bringing together 5–10 curious travellers for a journey through Zanzibar’s history, culture and everyday life. These questions help us understand your interests, expectations and approach to travelling with others.

You don’t need an academic background or previous experience in Africa. We value curiosity, consideration and a willingness to learn. Please answer in your own words short, honest answers are welcome.

Submitting an application does not secure a place or require payment. We’ll review your answers personally and contact you about the next steps.

Respecting local customs Zanzibar is predominantly Muslim. For most of our programme including village walks, cultural visits and everyday life in Jambiani we ask all participants to dress modestly, covering shoulders and knees and avoiding revealing or see-through clothing. Swimwear is welcome during beach and swimming activities; please cover up before returning to village spaces. We’ll provide practical packing guidance before departure.
